Federal tax reform bills are moving quickly in the House and Senate chambers and could significantly impact charitable giving. Recently, the Chicago Tribune published an article discussing the potential loss of billions of dollars in annual contributions due to the tax overhaul plans. If these bills are passed, they could dramatically decrease charitable giving in Illinois as well as introduce partisan political activity to the sector.
To discuss these impacts in Illinois, Forefront will hold a federal tax reform breakfast briefing on Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 8:30-10am at Quarles and Brady, LLP, in Chicago.
Anita Banerji, Forefront
Norah Jones, Quarles and Brady
Tasha Green Cruzat, Voices for Illinois Children
Jim Parsons, The Brinson Foundation
Please RSVP by Friday, December 1 – we expect this briefing to fill quickly.
