It all started..

shortly after the Women's March on Chicago.  As a first-time activist, I wondered where to channel my energy and dissatisfaction.  I found myself feeling powerless.  I wanted to transfer my skills as an experienced volunteer administrator at a nonprofit, motivating the community to donate their time.  My goal was to encourage positive engagement, but wanted to do it quickly and thoughtfully.  Establishing a simple resource encouraging civic engagement, may help others on their journey.  Currently, finding an event means spending time scrolling through hundreds of posts, websites and feeds. Feeling overwhelmed and struggling to find an event that fit my criteria, I decided to create Persist List.  I aim to support this unique grassroots movement, and keep the momentum.
