The Conversation: Being American

  • Women & Children First Bookstore 5233 North Clark Street Chicago, IL, 60640 United States (map)

Each month, we bring together a group of writers, artists, and thinkers together to talk about an issue of political, social, or cultural importance. These are not readings, but passionate conversations that will include the audience.

This month The Conversation's theme is Being American: Identity and Belonging Under a Hostile Regime. We will feature Boris Fishman, Cristina Henriquez, Riva Lehrer, Erika L. Sanchez, and Zoe Zolbrod.

After the event, the conversation continues at a nearby bar, gallery, or restaurant, where we eat, drink, argue, and organize. These events are free and open to all, but donations for a local nonprofit will be collected at the afterparty. The location of our March afterparty is Las Manos Gallery (1515 W. Foster Ave). We hope you can join us!
