Sanctuary Sessions

  • Matyrs 3855 North Lincoln Avenue Chicago, IL, 60613 United States (map)

On Sunday, March 5, Irish musicians and singers will gather in communities across the US to play and sing in support of civil rights. The brainchild of a group of immigrant and US-born musicians and music-lovers on the East Coast, this national event hopes to inspire a message of love, solidarity, and peace by sharing our music and songs to benefit the American Civil Liberties Union. Voluntary donations will be accepted at the door.

The Chicago edition of the Sanctuary Sessions will feature a multi-generational range of brilliant performers, from talented young players to internationally-renowned professionals. Come out for an afternoon of unforgettable traditional music and song, and stand with musicians in the Chicago Irish community as we support the ACLU to continue their much-needed work at a critical time in our history.

All musicians, feel free to bring your instruments. We want to pack the stage for a grand finale!
