Racial Justice Book Discussion: Between the World and Me

  • Silverstein Base Hillel (map)

Join us for a discussion of Ta-Nehisi Coates's "Between the World and Me," written as a letter to his teenage son about his experience of growing up as a Black man in the United States. Coates's explores the growing up in Baltimore, the American Dream, and facing oppression and violence as a result of white supremacy.

Toni Morrison wrote about the book, "I've been wondering who might fill the intellectual void that plagued me after James Baldwin died. Clearly it is Ta-Nehisi Coates."
