On International Women's Day, March 8th, DeKalb will stand with cities across the United States in a demonstration of solidarity for equity, justice, and the rights of all gender-oppressed people as part of the Women's March national #DayWithoutAWoman campaign.
We ask you to perform one or more of the following actions:
1. Wear RED to show solidarity
2. Take the DAY OFF from school/work (if you are able)
3. ONLY shop at locally, women-, and minority-owned businesses
4. Listen to SPEAKERS at the NIU MLK Commons (5:00 pm), MARCH to the corner for 1st and Lincoln, aka Peace Corner (6:00 - 6:30), RALLY and OPEN MIC on issues of gender and social justice at Peace Corner (6:30 - 7:30)
