What's Next for Illinois? w/ State Sen. Daniel Biss

  • Heartland Cafe's Red Line Tap 7006 North Glenwood Avenue Chicago, IL, 60626 United States (map)

Join us on June 5th at 7 pm in the Heartland Cafe's Red Line Tap for another evening of envisioning a progressive future for our state. We will hear from activists with Reclaim Chicago on their March to Springfield &Network 49 on their new Politics Committee, followed by a group discussion on what issues are important to us at the state level. We will also review/critique a candidate scorecard I've created to help us discern who would best serve our needs! Ald. Ameya Pawar came to speak to us in March about his gubernatorial campaign, and so now we have invited Illinois State Senator Daniel Biss (9th District), who is also running for Governor, to be our guest speaker. There will be a Q & A session following his talk, so come prepared with questions! As always, arrive early, bring a pen & pencil, and know that you can park in the Eugene Field Elementary School parking lot.
